SMS Verbal Opt-In — Staff Script & Intake Checklist

Purpose

The procedure staff follow to obtain and record a member's verbal consent to receive SMS from FitHub CrossFit REP.

Staff script (read to the member)

“We can send you text reminders about your classes, scheduling, and account updates from FitHub CrossFit REP. This is optional and not required for membership. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can reply STOP anytime to opt out, or HELP for help. Would you like to opt in to text messages?”

If the member agrees, staff complete the intake checklist

• Member verbally agreed to receive SMS — Yes
• Mobile number confirmed
• Date and staff initials recorded
• Consent logged in the FitHub CRM on the member's profile (Communications → SMS consent = ON, source: “verbal / in-person”)

Consent records & opt-out

Consent records are stored per member in the FitHub CRM and honored on every send. A STOP reply immediately opts the member out.
